The No. 7 ranked Pointers opened on a 12-3 run and never trailed as they remain the WIAC's only unbeaten team at 9-0 and improve to 16-2 overall.

Entering the game, the Pointers were the WIAC's top shooting team, but the Falcons held them to just 33 percent in the first half. Despite the low shooting percentage, Stevens Point jumped to a 30-17 halftime lead as the Falcons committed 11 first half turnovers.

Will Taylor led the Falcons with 10 points while Zach Peterson and Sam Meyer had nine points each. UT Udo and Arik Smith had six points each.

The Falcons shot just under 40-percent for the game and could not keep up with the Pointers making 76-percent in the second half on 20-of-26 shooting in the final 20 minutes.

Udo led the Falcons with five assists – just the third time a Falcon has had at least five assists in 2012-13. Peterson led the way on the boards, grabbing four rebounds in the loss.

The Falcons drop to 6-12 overall and 1-8 in the WIAC. They are back in action when they host Stout on Wednesday. Game time is at 7 p.m.
