River Falls, Wis -(uwrfsports.com)- The UW-River Falls women's hockey team hosted Gustavus Adolphus Wednesday night at Hunt Arena.
Angie Hall recorded her third straight shutout as the Falcons beat the Gusties 3-0. Hall's streak of 3 consecutive shutouts matches her career best when she recorded 3 straight shutouts late in the 2014-2015 season. The last goalie to have 3 straight shutouts for the Falcons other than Hall's streak in 2015 was Melissa Deardorff in 2012.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Angie Hall played the entire time in goal for the Falcons and had a total of 22 saves on the way to her third straight shutout.
- 10 minutes into the game, Lydia Wagner received a penalty for hooking, which put the Falcons on a penalty kill.
- Shortly after, Carly Moran received a penalty for checking, putting the Falcons on a 5 on 3 disadvantage. The Falcons were able to fight it off and regain full strength.
- No goals were scored in the first period.
- At 4:04 in the second period, Dani Kocina received a penalty for interference to put the Falcons back on penalty kill.
- The Falcons would eventually be on power play at 7:11 in the second period when Marina Chapman received a penalty for tripping. The Gusties were able to kill off the penalty.
- Shortly after, Paulina Scheid received a penalty for hooking at 11:30.
- At 12:51 on the power play, Dani Sibley scored to put the Falcons up 1-0. Carly Moran and Paige Johnson received the assists.
- At 7:36 in the third period, Haley Nielsen received a penalty for hooking to put the Falcons on penalty kill.
- Carina Randazzo scored the second goal for the Falcons and her first goal of the season at 10:15 to give the Falcons a 2-goal lead. (2-0) The goal was assisted by Izzy Brosseau.
- Ashley Effertz scored another goal at 13:35 to put the Falcons up 3-0, which would end up being the final score. Lydia Wagner and Haley Nielsen assisted the goal.
THE OPPOSITION
- Amanda DiNella played in goal for the Gusties, totally 60 minutes in net. She allowed 3 goals and had a total of 20 shots on net.
- The Gusties had a total of 22 shots, which was the high for both teams. The Gusties were lead by Nicole Abraham (4) Diana Draayer (3) and Allie Stranger. (3)
LOOKING AHEAD
The Falcons will head to St. Peter, Minnesota on Saturday to take on Gustavus to complete the season series at Don Roberts Arena, puck drop is set for 2pm.
