Scott Lewan (Westland, MI, Alberni Valley, BCHL) played well for the Falcons in his first two collegiate games last weekend. Lewan, 6-0, 188 pounds, made 38 saves to help the Falcons come back to tie Augsburg, 2-2, on Friday in Minneapolis, Minn. The Falcons trailed, 2-0, late in the second period before scoring twice to tie the game. Lewan, a freshman, finished with 14 saves in the second period, 11 in the third and four in the overtime session to preserve the tie. On Saturday at Gustavus Adolphus, ranked No. 8 in the USCHO.com poll, he was spectacular in making 52 saves in a 2-0 loss. He had 10 saves in the first period and stopped all 26 shots he faced in the second period. He made 16 saves in the third period. Gustavus scored its first goal while on the power play. In the two games he faced 94 shots and made 90 saves to finish with a .957 saves percentage.
