Skate With the Falcons

The UW-River Falls women's hockey team, currently ranked No. 8 in the nation, will hold its Youth Hockey Day on Saturday, Feb. 4.

The Falcons, currently 13-3-2 overall, host Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (NCHA) rival Concordia University at 2:05 p.m., at the W. H. Hunt Arena located on the UWRF campus.

Youth hockey players wearing their team's jersey will be admitted free to this game. The normal cost is $4 per ticket. All players should be accompanied by a parent and the adult ticket cost is $8.

Players are encouraged to bring their skates to the game for a Skate with the Falcons session after the contest. The Falcons will be on the ice to skate with the youth and sign autographs.  The Skate with the Falcons session will start about 15 minutes after the conclusion of the game. Skates will be available to rent at Hunt Arena.

"We are looking forward to having the Youth Hockey Day and Skate With the Falcons event again this year," said Falcon Coach Joe Cranston. "The players enjoy seeing youngsters at the game and then getting the chance to meet and interact with them afterwards."

The Falcons are currently in first place in the NCHA with a 11-2-1 record.
