Brittany Nordland set a school record in the 800 as the Falcons competed in two qualifying meets on Friday and Saturday.

The Falcons competed in the Keeler Invitational at North Central, Ill., University and the Eagle Open at UW-La Crosse.

Nordlan competed at the Keeler Invitational and ran a 2:12.97 in the 800 to set the record. Se broke the record of 2:12.99 set by Leah Korf in 2010. Katie Rydeen placed seventh in the 10,000 with a time of 36:13.96 which was a personal best time.

Several other Falcons compete at the Eagle Open. Alicia Potting won the long jump with a leap of 18-7 3.4, Kimberly Lueck placed second in the 100 hurdles in 15.30 and Stephanie Walek placed scond in the hammer with a throw of 112-7. Sophie Lasko finished third in the 200 in 25.31.

Some members of the team  will compete in the La Crosse Qualifier on Thursday at UW-La Crosse.
