Ten male and five female track & field student-athletes will be competing in the NCAA Championships set for Thursday through Saturday at the Burns Track & Field complex in Claremont, Calif.

The men's team will be represented by

Jordan Crockett,

Paul Schreiner,
Benjamin Tykwinski and
Michael Woodward.
“The 10 men and 15 total student-athletes competing is the most by a UWRF team ever at a National meet,” said Falcon Coach Aaron Decker.
Ponick, a three-time WIAC javelin champion, will compete in her specialty on Saturday with that completion starting at 3:45 p.m. She enters the competition with the sixth best throw in the nation – 141-1 ¼ - and that is the school record.
Rasmussen will compete in two events – the 200 and 400-meter dashes. The prelims for the 200 are at 5:45 p.m., on Thursday. She has the 10
th best time in the nation entering the meet – 24.58 – that is the Falcon school record. The 200 finals will be run at 5:10 p.m., on Saturday. The 400 prelims will be held at 5:50 p.m., on Friday. Rasmussen's time of 55.59 is the eighth best in the country. The finals will be run at 3:40 p.m., on Saturday.
Hillman will compete in the pole vault competition. That event will be held on Saturday starting at 12:30 p.m. Hillman's best leap this year is 12-1 ¼ - which is the school record. That leap is the 19
th best in the nation this year. There are 22 entrants in the event.
Rydeen will compete in the 10,000-meter run and that event will start at 6:20 p.m., on Thursday. She has the 16
th best time in the country of 36:13.96.
Potting has the 18
th best leap in the long jump this year – 18-8. She will compete in the event starting at 3 p.m., on Thursday.
The Falcon men's team has two relay teams entered in this year's meet. The 4x100 team of Butler, Crockett, Sandle and Woodward set a school record with a time of 41.35. Their time is the sixth best in the nation. The prelims for that race will be at 4:15 p.m., on Thursday and the finals are set for 2:40 p.m., on Saturday.
The 4x400 relay team of Schreiner, Liljevall, Jensen and Crockett will compete in the prelims of that event at 9:15 p.m., on Thursday. They have a season-best time of 3:14.19 and that is the 11
th best time in the country this year. The finals will be the last race of the event and is scheduled for 6:30 p.m., on Saturday.
Brandenburg will compete in the 3,000-meter steeplechase. That prelim race will be held at 8:30 p.m., on Thursday with the finals set for 2:10 p.m., on Saturday. Brandenburg set a school record in the race with a time of 9:00.78 and his time is the fifth best in the country entering the meet.
The Falcons have two entrants in the triple jump – Sandle and Woodward. Sandle, who won the NCAA Championship in the indoor triple jump in March, has a best leap of 49-1 ½ which is the sixth best jump in the country. His distance is also the school record. Woodward is not far behind. He has a best leap of 48-11 ¾ and that is the nation's seventh best. The event will start at 12:50 p.m., on Saturday.
Tykwinske will compete in the hammer throw. He has the 15
th best throw in the nation – 187-1 ¼, which is just under five inches short of the school record. The event will be start at 2:05 p.m., on Friday.
Cato, who earned All-American honors in the high jump at the NCAA indoor meet in March, will compete in the high jump on Friday at 5:45 p.m. He has the 13
th best leap - 6-9 - in the country entering the meet.
Crockett, who is running on both relay teams, will also compete in the 200. He set the school record earlier this year with a time of 21.56. His time is the 20
th best in the nation this year. The 200 prelims will be held at 6 p.m., on Thursday and the finals are at 5:20 p.m., on Saturday.
Claremont-Mudd-Scripps is the host institution of this year's
NCAA Meet.
