MADISON, Wis.--University of Wisconsin-River Falls'
Emily Stark has been named the recipient of the 2017 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Judy Kruckman Women's Ice Hockey Scholar-Athlete Award. The award is sponsored by Badgerland Financial.
Stark, a senior from Little Falls, Minn., has a 3.81 grade point average and is majoring in mathematics and secondary education with a minor in coaching. She is a three-time member of the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll and earned a spot on UW-River Falls' Dean's List every semester.

She has been named to the WIAC All-Sportsmanship Team the last two seasons and received the team's Hardest Worker Award the last two years. Stark has been a member of the UW-River Falls squad that has captured four consecutive WIAC regular-season titles and O'Brien Cups. Stark has played in 115 games for the Falcons and has scored 11 goals with 12 assists in her career.Â

She is a member of UW-River Falls' Math Club. Stark has volunteered with a Trick or Treat canned foods drive for a local food pantry, a meal/paint-a-thon, Science Olympiad and a kindness retreat for fourth and fifth graders.
