THE SERIES
Tuesday will mark the 12th all-time meeting between the programs, with UW-River Falls leading the series 8–3. The Scots claimed the most recent matchup last season, earning a 74-70 win on Nov. 13, 2024, in St. Paul.
FALCON NOTES
- The Falcons (2-3) enter the contest following an 86-80 home victory over St. Olaf on Nov. 19, a performance highlighted by interior scoring and late-game execution. UWRF shot 56.4 percent from the field, outscored the Oles 52-44 in the paint, and posted a 51-point second half to secure its second win of the year.
- Forward Jack Leifker delivered another standout performance with 21 points on 7-of-10 shooting while going 7-for-11 at the line.
- Fellow starter Micah Thompson continued to create on both ends, finishing with 19 points and 14 rebounds, recording his first double-double of the season.
- Guards Owen Havlik and Gavin Ralph added eight points apiece, while Daniel Cleary supplied a key spark off the bench with 10 points and two threes.
- Through their first five contests, the Falcons are averaging 71.0 points per game while shooting 45.0 percent from the field and 29.4 percent from three-point range.
- Leifker leads the team at 15.4 points per game on 60.9 percent shooting, followed by Jeremy Wanguhu at 13.5 points per game. Thompson adds 9.2 points and a team-high 7.4 rebounds per game, while Ralph contributes 7.8 points and 6.2 rebounds.
- The Falcons continue to distribute the ball efficiently with 13.8 assists per game. On the defensive end, they generate 6.2 steals and 2.8 blocks per contest.
