MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Day Two of the M City Classic featured the conclusion of the men's heptathlon. Jacob Balcome led the Falcons, finishing first overall with 5,240 points, a new M City Classic meet record. The junior earned event wins in the high jump (1.97m), long jump (6.65m), pole vault (4.45m), and a new personal-best in the 1000m (2:48.14), while adding strong results across all other events.
Balcome's season-opening victory continues from an exceptional sophomore campaign, highlighted by the 2025 NCAA Indoor Heptathlon National Championship and WIAC Indoor Heptathlon Championship, setting him up for another strong indoor season.
