Q: When you think about your time as a Falcon, what sticks out as the most memorable? What do you miss most?

Adams: The most memorable moments are the ones where we were doing nothing at all but having the most fun. Whether it was trying to contain ourselves in the library or mocking a friend slipping on the ice on the way to lunch, we were always having a blast. Going through the daily grind with the boys is what I miss the most.

Q: Do you stay connected with your former Falcon teammates? What do those relationships mean to you?

Adams: I still talk to a few of my teammates every day. They are some of my closest friends and they have now become family. I can’t picture my life without those relationships, so they mean the world to me.

Q: Being a Brooklyn Park, Minn., native, what led to your decision to attend and play football at UW-River Falls?

Adams: It was a combination of a few things; the affordability of tuition, the close proximity to home, but mostly the welcoming arms from the players on my recruiting visit. Everyone so was down to earth and genuine. It made me feel like, “these are my people.”

Q: What advice do you have for your former self or current UWRF student-athletes?

Adams: Keep your eyes on your future. The day-to-day can get stressful but remain locked in on your long term goals.

Q: Who inspired or encouraged you the most during your time at UWRF?

Adams: Lots of people. Teammates, coaches, trainers, classmates, professors, kitchen staff. The support and well wishes were never lacking.

Q: How did your time as a UWRF football player add to your overall experience and eventually help you in your postgraduate career?

Adams: Being a football player gave me another family that I am forever thankful for. To this day, I still use the lessons I learned about time management and compartmentalization in my daily life.
