Sophomore shortstop Keegan Piton (Green Bay, Wis.) batted .500 with seven hits in 14 at bats over the weekend during the UWRF Softball WIAC openers at UW-Whitewater and UW-Oshkosh, including a three-run homer which accounted for the game-winning RBI’s in a 6-1 win over UWW. UWRF followed up with a 3-2 win over the Warhawks in the second game, sweeping UW-Whitewater for the first time since 2012. Piton also logged a team-high nine assists in the field, and scored four runs.
