Out of 73 runners, Fouts placed first at the Gene Davis Invitational hosted by Lawrence University (Wis.) in Appleton. In rainy and muddy conditions, her time of 22:48 is just four seconds from her personal best. Fouts was followed by two teammates, Lindsey Tolkkinen and Nikki Jurik, to receive the top-three positions and lead their team to a first-place finish.
