Fresh off a national championship in the NCAA men's indoor heptathlon, Jacob Balcome led the way in the men's decathlon at the Klein-Nwaba Combined Events meet in Santa Barabara, Calif., March 20-21. He earned a first-place finish with 6,915 points. Just one week after setting the program record for the indoor heptathlon, Balcome's point total set a new UWRF school record in the outdoor men's decathlon.
