Sophomore thrower Charles Baker had a standout day at the Carleton College Relays on Saturday, April 19 in Northfield, Minn., placing first overall in the men’s discus and hammer throw, and taking home fourth in the shot put. His throw of 49.0 meters (160-09) in the hammer throw moved him up to seventh in the UWRF record book. In discus, Baker threw 39.67 meters (130-02), which ranks 18th in the WIAC standings. Baker threw 13.01 meters (42-08.25) to place fourth in the shot put.
