At the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships in Birmingham, Ala., March 13-14, Jacob Balcome set an NCAA Division III record with 5,487 points in the men's heptathlon, becoming the second ever student-athlete in the history of the event to become a back-to-back national champion.
