Patterson had a career kicking day for the Falcons in their game at Waldorf College (Iowa) on Sept. 21. Halfway through the third quarter, he made a 49-yard field goal to give the Falcons a 17-10 lead. The 49 yarder broke the school's all-time record for longest field goal. In addition to the record breaking kick, Patterson recorded five touchbacks on kickoff and was a perfect 3-for-3 on extra points.
