UW-Superior came into River Falls on Wednesday and left with a loss courtesy of the UW-River Falls Falcons. The Falcons won the game in three straight sets to advance to a 4-3 record in the WIAC.
The Falcons won the three sets by scores of 25-21, 25-22 and 25-18.
The Falcons had two players record double-digit kills on the night. Tayler Fertig led the Falcons with 11 kills while Briana Muetzel supplied 10 of her own. Rebecca Gasper had nine kills, Lisa Keppers and Katie Duff both had four, Raven Klein had two kills and Hannah Havemeier had a single kill.
Stephanie Bandelin led the Yellowjackets with 12 kills.
Raven Klein lead the Falcons with 37 assists. Dig leaders for the Falcons were Lexi Pingel (12), Michaela Piechowski (10), Kadie Brooks (10) and Brianna Muetzel (9).
Keely Deadrick lead the Yellowjackets with 23 assists. Dig leaders for the Superior were Stephanie Bandelin with eight and Chelsey Walerius with seven.
The Falcons are now 12-17 on the season and will play their last regular season WIAC game on Friday when they travel to UW-Stevens Point.
