The UW-River Falls Falcons (3-2) traveled across the border to Arden Hills, MN to take on the Bethel University Royals (4-0) of the MIAC conference. It was a back and forth game from the opening minutes to the final ticks of the second half where the Falcons came up short in a comeback effort falling 60-54 in the game.
Freshman forward
Taylor Karge continued her exceptional early season play as she led the Falcons with a big box score of 21 points four rebounds and added one blocked shot.
Jesse Van Wyhe had nine points to go along with seven rebounds and five assists on the night while
Kate Theisen had the hustle stats with six rebounds and three steals for the Falcons. As a team UWRF caused havoc throughout the night with 10 total steals.
The Royals were lead were lead by Kalli Zimmerman who tallied 13 points.
The Falcons fall to 3-2 on the season after tonight's loss and will travel to Decorah, Iowa this Saturday to play Luther College who just received votes in the recent d3hoops.com poll. Tip off is set for 2 p.m.
