The UW-River Falls Falcons fell 2-0 in the WIAC semifinal game at UW-Whitewater, the WIAC regular season champions.

The first goal came at 10:57 into the first half when Brianna Reid scored goal number 14 of the season assisted by Jenna Woodson.

Erica Cimochowski had two saves as the half went on until Whitewater found the back of the net again when Kelsey Beld scored. Cimochowski ended the game with four total saves.

UWRF put up a strong effort to come back in the game with seven shots on goal with Abby Soderholm and Carrie Anderson each attempting two. A strong performance from Jordan Myers kept Whitewater in the lead.

Emily Hancock, Abbie Zastrow, Kaitlyn Logan and Alex Swatloski all played their last game in a Falon uniform. Hancock played goalie for UWRF, Zastrow and Logan each played defense and Swatloski played forward.

UWRF finishes a strong season 12-6-3 and 4-3 in the WIAC. Falcon coach Sean McKuras commented earlier this season that this was the first time the Falcons have hit 10 wins in a while as it was the first time since the 2010 season.
