Box Score RIVER FALLS, Wis. (uwrfsports.com) – The UW-River Falls Falcons hosted rival UW-Eau Claire on Wednesday night at Karges in a WIAC matchup. The Blugolds took out the Falcons in three sets by scores of 25-16, 25-18, and 25-22.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Falcons converted 27 kills on the night out of their 34 points. One point came off an ace. UWRF also converted six blocks in the match.
- Amara Meyer and Dakotah Poitra lead the Falcons in kills with nine on the night. Meyer also registered four blocks.
- Raven Klein was the leader in assists for the Falcons. She had 26 on the night and also was third on the team in kills with three. Klein also was third on the team in digs with eight.
- On the night, UWRF had a hitting percentage of .154 to the Blugolds .240.
- In the third set, the Falcons had a lead 20-17, but could not hand on as the Blugolds scored eight of the last 10 points.
THE OPPOSITION
- Heather Sawchuk was the match leader in kills with 15 with Katrina Raskie had eight.
- Madison Surprise had 31 assists for the Blugolds and also had two blocks.
- Three different Blugolds had double digit digs on the night: Talia Jaskulske (19), Raskie (14) and Sawchuk (11).
LOOKING AHEAD
- UW-River Falls will now take a break from WIAC play when they travel to St. Paul to take on Crown College and St. Catherine Univeristy on October 1st at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. The Falcons next play at home on October 12 against College of St. Scholastica at 7 p.m.
