RIVER FALLS, WIs. (uwrfsports.com) – It was a rainy day for the UW-River Falls women's soccer team as they faced off against UW-Whitewater at home Saturday afternoon. The Falcons fell to the Warhawks 1-2.

HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST ST. MARYS
- In monsoon like conditions, the Warhawks controlled the offense in the first half with nine shots compared to the Falcons four but neither team was able to capitalize on their shots.
- Minutes into the second half with the rain slowing down the Warhwaks found the back of the net at 51:34.
- Within a minute of the goal, the Falcons were called for a foul in the Warhawk penalty area that allowed for Emily Mouille to take a penalty kick goal.
- When it looked like the Warhawks were going to shut the Falcons out Maddie Bleick found Kayla Windingstad to score at 88:31 and make the score 2-1.
- The Falcons had 12 shots in the game with five on goal.
- Abby Soderholm had six of the shots and Carrie Anderson and Kayla Windingstad each had a pair.
- Haley Crosby took the loss in goal after giving up two goals but also having ten saves.
THE OPPOSITION
- The Warhawks had 25 shots total with 12 on goal and had 11 corner kick opportunities to the Falcons one.
- Karina Rosales had a match high 10 shots with three on goal.
