RIVER FALLS, Wis. (uwrfsports.com) – The UW-River Falls soccer team closed out their final home game of the season with a 1-0 victory over UW-Stevens Point.

HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST UW-STEVENS POINT
- Fourteen minutes into the first half Mariah Troje headed a ball into the right cross bar off a corner kick by Maddie Bleick. Abby Soderholm picked up the rebound and easily tapped it in to get the eventual game winning goal.
- The Falcons outshot the Pointers 11-4 in the first half and finished the day with 15 shots total.
- Haley Crosby earned her first victory of the season making six saves.
- Late in the second half, Abby Soderholm had an opportunity to score her second goal of the game, but the Falcons were called for off-sides on the play.
THE OPPOSITION
- UW-Stevens Point was led by a host of players with two attempted shots on goal. Kayla Huber had both of her shots go on net.
- At the 55 minute mark, Olivia Bohnert had a shot that went over Haley Crosby head, and bounced off the far goal post. This was the Pointers best chance of scoring in the match.
- Sarah Peplinski made seven saves in the game.
