EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (uwrfsports.com) – The UW-River Falls women's volleyball team went 1-3 this past weekend at the Sandy Schumacher Memorial Invite hosted by UW-Eau Claire.

HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST MILLIKIN
- In the first match of the weekend the Falcons took on the No. 15 Big Blue of Millikin University and fell in three sets (12-25, 21-25,21-25).
- In set one, the Big Blue outplayed the Falcons offensively hitting a match high .368.
- The Falcons bounced back in sets two and three offensively and hit .323 and .267.
- As a team the Falcons hit .196 (29-11-92)
- Dakotah Poitra had a team high seven kills
- Amara Meyer hit a team high .357 (6-1-14)
- Defensively Hannah Robb had a team high 13 digs.
- Mallory Griffin led the Falcons defensively with 13 digs
THE OPPOSITION
- The Big Blue hit .342 as a team and were led by Marissa McElroy with 13 kills.
- Meredith Artime had a match high 17 digs.
THE RUNDOWN AGAINST AUGSBURG

HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST AUGSBURG
- In match two the Falcons picked up a 3-1 (25-12, 28-26, 15-25, 25-19) win over the Auggies.
- Set one was the Falcon's as they hit .500 and won the set easily 25-12.
- The next two sets were a challenge. The Falcons won set two 28-26 but fell in set three 15-25.
- The Falcons took care of things in the fourth set winning 25-19.
- Overall the Falcons hit .162 (40-19-130).
- Hannah Striggow led the offense with 15 kills and eight digs.
- Dakotah Poitra had eight kills, three serving aces and 12 digs.
- Amara Meyer also had five blocks.
- Hannah Robb had a match high 17 digs.
THE OPPOSITION
- Augsburg hit .068 as a team and were led by Corrina Evans with 11 kills.
- Macey Terhell has 17 digs.
THE RUNDOWN AGAINST ST. SCHOLASTICA

HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST ST. SCHOLASTICA
- The Falcons won set one 25-19 but fell in following three sets 22-25, 20-25, and 17-25
- The Falcons hit .115 (52-32-174).
- Amara Meyer and Karli Nielsen each had 11 kills.
- Dakotah Poitra had a strong showing getting a double double with ten kills and ten digs.
- Hannah Robb had a match high 21 digs.
THE OPPOSITION
- The Saints hit .192 as a team and were led by Madissen Burns, Brooke Schermann and Emily Bounds who each finished the day with seven kills
- Taylor Thompson had 20 digs.

- The Falcons travel to UW-Stout Wednesday evening at 7 p.m.
