Whitewater, Wis. (uwrfsports.com) – The UW-River Falls women's basketball team suffered another loss on the road to the No. 24 ranked UW-Whitewater Warhawks 57-37.

WHAT HAPPENED
- UWRF scored their season-low for points in the game. UW-Whitewater suffocated the Falcon offense in the second half, shooting 5-21 (23.8 percent) from the floor.
- In the first quarter, the Falcons scored the opening bucket, but eight straight points for the Warhawks gave them the early advantage.
- Down six points after one, the Falcons offense struggled in the second quarter, scoring just six points in the 10 minute period. The Warhawks took advantage with a 9-0 run in the quarter. UWRF would head into the locker room down by 12.
- The Falcons scored the first three points of the third quarter, but couldn't come closer than nine points in the quarter.
- In the fourth quarter the lead grew to as much as 25 points for the host Warhawks. The Falcons played reserves for a good chunk of the quarter, and scored just eight points.
IN-DEPTH LOOK
- Hannah Pignato scored 13 points in the loss on 4-9 shooting. She connected on one three point line, and all four of her free throws. She also had four rebounds.
- Kate Theisen was the leading scorer of the Falcon starters, she finished with seven points, and had a team-high nine rebounds.
- From the floor UWRF shot 14-48 (29.2 percent) while making one three-pointer. The team shot 8-10 (80 percent) from the free throw line.
- UWRF got a majority of their points from their bench (21) and scored 11 points off turnovers.
THE OPPOSITION
- The Warhawks had three players in double-figures. Reilly Stewart and Becky Raeder each scored 11 points on a combined 8-18, while each of them made three three-pointers.
- Brooke Trewyn registered a double-double in the game, she had 10 points and 11 rebounds while adding two assists.
- In a defensive game, the Warhawks finished 18-53 (34 percent) from the floor. The Warhawks shot 7-18 (38.9 percent) from the three point line, and 14-19 (73.7 percent) from the free throw line.
LOOKING AHEAD
UW-River Falls will return home for their final two home games. The Falcons will take on the Blugolds of UW-Eau Claire on February 15 at 7 p.m, and host their annual senior night on February 18 against UW-Platteville at 3 p.m.
