Box Score RIVER FALLS, Wis. (uwrfsports.com) – The UW-River Falls women's volleyball team continues their hot start with a close matchup at home against Carleton College. The Falcons were able to pull out the five set win to beat the Knights who earlier this season gave the Falcons their only loss this season.

HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST CROWN
- The Falcons struggled in the first set falling 14-25 to the Knights but came back in the second to win over the Knights by two 25-23.
- The Knights took set three 25-18 hitting an impressive .395 (16-1-38) compared to the Falcons .200(13-6-35).
- The Falcons would seal the night with wins in the fourth (25-18) and fifth (15-9) set outhitting the Knights in both sets.
- Overall the Falcons hit .134 as a team (44-26-134).
- Dakotah Poitra and Karli Nielsen each had 10 kills for the Falcons and Amara Meyer had nine. Nielsen hit a game high .500.
- The Falcon defense combined for 70 digs. Hannah Robb was strong in defense digging out 23 balls. Dakotah Poitra and Hannah Striggow helped her out with 14 and 11 digs respectively.
THE OPPOSITION
- The Knights hit .211 after having a dominate set three where they hit .395.
- Offensively they were led by Lucy Stevens and Faith Skinner who each had 11 kills.
