Women's Basketball Falls at UW-La Crosse

La Crosse, Wis. (uwrfsports.com) – The UW-River Falls women's basketball team traveled to take on conference rival UW-La Crosse on Wednesday night. The Falcons took a 23-20 half time lead with the help of Brynn Liljander's 13 points in the first half, but the Eagles came back in the second half and downed the Falcons by a score of 56-44.

WHAT HAPPENED
  • The Eagles got off to a quick start as Dani Craig started the game with 2 quick baskets from beyond the arc to give the Eagles an early 6-0 lead.
  • The Falcons would continue to battle throughout the course of the first half as they took their first lead of the game with 1:59 remaining in the first half, 20-17.
  • The Falcons and Eagles would trade baskets to close out the half as the Falcons took a 23-20 lead into the break.
  • Brynn Liljander led the way in the first half for the Falcons with 13 points.
  • The Eagles would regain the lead at 7:48 of the second half on a made 3-pointer from Dani Craig.
  • The Eagles never lost the lead after that and pushed their lead to 10 in the second half as the Falcons trail 40-30.
  • The Falcons were unable to get back into the game as they fell to the Eagles by a final of 56-44.
