WHITEWATER, Wis. (uwrfsports.com) – The Falcons took their third WIAC loss in a row, falling to UW-Whitewater. They shot 36 percent, their best of the night, from the floor in the first quarter and despite a 7-0 run in the second quarter, the Falcons were down 21-34 going into the halftime. The leading scorer for Whitewater, Olivia Freckman, scored 10 of her 17 points in the first half.
The Falcons were only able to connect for six points in the third quarter, while Whitewater increased their lead by scoring 14. Unfortunately, the Falcons could not rally in the 4
th quarter, scoring 7 points. Out of the 13 points the Falcons scored in the second half,
Brianna Leahy contributed 6, making her the leading scorer of the night for the Falcons.

Crystal Pearson, and
Brianna Leahy all finished 3-4 from the free throw line, but it was not enough to get the Falcons the win.
The Falcons are now 7-10 overall and 1-5 in the WIAC conference. After two games on the road, they will be back home on Wednesday, January 23, taking on UW-La Crosse at 7 p.m.
