RIVER FALLS, Wis. (uwrfsports.com) – The Falcon women's soccer team fell to Saint Mary's University Wednesday afternoon 1-2 in a nonconference matchup at David Smith Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST UW-LA CROSSE
- The Falcons had a lone goal at the 8th minute of the match. Mariah Troje scored on a pass from Lindsey Jack.
- The Cardinals scored their first goal at 3:55. Jordyn Matthews fired in a pass from Mary Loy.
- Matthews scored again at 15:15 to give the Cardinals a 2-0 lead that remained until the 86th minute when the Falcons scored.
- The Cardinals outshot the Falcons 21-11. Cardinal Goaltender Gabriella Pederson had four saves in her ninety minutes. She had two diving saves that kept the Falcons from getting on the board.
- Troje led the Falcon offense with five shots.
- Amanda Ladue had 13 saves in goal for the Falcons.
