Falcons Lose on the Road to Gustavus

ST. PETER, Minn. (uwrfsports.com) – The women's basketball team was on the road to take on Gustavus Adolphus College.  Despite having the lead heading into halftime, the Falcons fell to the Gusties 66-82.

WHAT HAPPENED
  • The Falcons shot 58.3 percent from the field in the first half, hitting 14-24, including 3-8 from behind the arc.  
  • Crystal Pearson led the Falcons, scoring 11 points in the first half, hitting 5-7 from the field.
  • The Falcons scored 24 points off the bench overall, nine in the first half. 
  • Overall the Falcons scored just two 2nd chance points in the half, seven total in the game, on four offensive rebounds.
  • The Falcons went into halftime leading 34-27. 
  • UWRF shot 33.3 percent in the second half overall, making 11-33 field goals and making just 1-13 three-pointers (7.7 percent).
  • Lori Wardynski led the Falcons in the second half with 11 points on 4-4 shooting, 1-1 from three, and 2-2 from the free throw line.
