WINONA, Minn. (uwrfsports.com) – The UW-River Falls women's volleyball team continued play at the Ground Round Sugar Loaf Classic in Winona, MN on Saturday. The Falcons split their two matches, falling to University of Dubuque in the morning 1-3 (25-14, 19-25, 23-25, 19-25), and beating St. Mary's in the second match up in five games (24-26, 21-25, 25-17, 25-23, 15-8).

HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST UNIVERSITY OF DUBUQUE
- The Falcons fell to Dubuque in four games in the first match of the game (25-14, 19-25, 23-25, 19-25).
- Offensively the Falcons hit .102 with 43 kills in 166 attempts.
- Dakotah Poitra led the Falcons with 14 kills and hit .238 in 42 attempts. She also recorded two aces, two block assists and 20 digs.
- Mallory Griffin hit .132 with 11 kills in 38 attempts.
- Hailey Huseth had 34 assists and added 13 digs.
- Defensively, Libero Hannah Robb led the Falcons with 35 digs.

- The Falcons came back in their second match of the day, winning in five games (24-26, 21-25, 25-17, 25-23, 5-8).

- Katie Koerper led the Falcons offensely with 18 kills; overall hitting .295..
- Karli Nielsen hit .308 (10 kills, 26 TA) and Mallory Griffin had 16 kills in 46 total attacks.
- Haley Cuba recorded 30 assists.
- The Falcons recorded 11 service aces.
- Defensively Hannah Robb had 33 digs.
THE OPPOSITION.
- SMU recorded 59 total kills, led by Lexi Barth with 16.
