RIVER FALLS, Wis. (uwrfsports.com) – The Falcon women's soccer team picked up their fifth win in a row defeating UW-Superior 3-0 at home.

HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST UW-SUPERIOR
- The Falcons dominated the Yellowjackets offensively out shooting them 44-2. Lexi Peterson led the team with eleven shots.
- Mariah Troje got the Falcons on the board first scoring a penalty kick goal at 26:28. The penalty opportunity came after the Falcons had two balls rebound off the crossbar and a handball penalty was called.
- Maggie Koehler scored three minutes later gently tapping one in after the Superior goaltender came out hard to defend and left the goal wide open.
- Troje scored her second goal of the afternoon and her third of the season at 50:59 on a pass from Rachel Windingstad.
- Haley Crosby recorded the shutout win for the Falcons.
THE OPPOSITION
- Tatum Lardinois had the two shots for the Yellowjackets.
- Madison Gutekunst got the loss for Superior giving up two goals. She recorded eight saves.
- Morgan Philliber took over goaltending duties in the second half and recorded eleven saves and gave up one goal.

The Falcons travel to Martin Luther to face off against the Knights on September 25. Start of the match is set for 4 p.m.
