INDIANOLA, Iowa (uwrfsports.com) – The UW-River Falls women's volleyball team continued play at the Simpson College Invitational.  The Falcons first game of the day was a win against Principia College., 3-0 (25-14, 25-8, 25-11)  This win resulted in a coaching milestone for head coach Patti Ford as she picked up her 600^th career win!  The Falcons took on host team Simpson College in their second match of the day, falling 0-3 (21-25, 20-25, 23-25).

HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST PRINCIPIA

• The Falcons won the match in three games, 3-0 (25-14, 25-8, 25-11).
• Offensively the Falcons hit .337 overall with 38 kills in 95 attempts. 
• Mallory Griffin led the Falcons with 11 kills and hit .611 in 18 attempts.  . 
• Dakotah Poitra added 10 kills (24 TA). Sarah Langlois recorded 8 kills, hitting .462.
• Hailey Huseth recorded 23 assists in the match as well as 15 digs
• Huseth led the team defensively, while Hannah Robb added 13 digs. 
• As a team, the Falcons recorded 18 service aces.

THE OPPOSITION

• As a team, Principia hit .124.
• They were led by Jessica Bayne with 9 kills.  
• Defensively, the Principia was led by Devon Marunde who recorded 12 digs.

HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST SIMPSON

• The Falcons fell in three games 0-3 (21-25, 20-25, 23-25)
• Offensively, the Falcons hit just .150 overall with 27 kills in 120 total attempts.
• Katie Koerper led the Falcons with 13 kills in 27 attempts (.407).
• Karli Nielsen and Dakotah Poitra each added 7 kills.  Poitra also recorded 12 digs.
• Hailey Huseth recorded 34 of the teams 36 assists.
• Hannah Robb led the Falcons defensively with 23 digs.
