RIVER FALLS, Wis. (uwrfsports.com) – A high scoring second period led to a 4-3 Falcon win over the Yellowjackets of UW-Superior Thursday at Hunt Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST UW-SUPERIOR

• The Falcons scored a single goal in the first period taking control of the game early on.  Callie Hoff scored on a pass from Hailey Herdine.
• From beyond the blue line, Kiana Gilbraith fired a shot that soared past the stick side of the Yellowjacket goaltender.  Her goal gave the Falcons a 2-0 lead.
• The Yellowjackets cut the lead in half with their own goal at 6:10.
• Abigail Stow scored on a pass from Madi Nolan and Hailey Herdine at 10:17 to give the Falcons a 3-1 lead.
• Twenty-four seconds into their power play opportunity the Yellowjackets scored their second goal of the evening. 
• In the third period, Maddie McCollins scored the Falcons fourth goal.  Assisting her on the play was Erica Schramel.
• Superior scored one final goat at 14:16 in the third. 
• The Falcons outshot the Yellowjackets 35-28.  Madi lead the offense with four shots on goal.
