SUPERIOR, Wis. (uwrfsports.com) – The UW-River Falls women's hockey team shut out UW-Superior Saturday afternoon to collect their eight conference win of the season. The Falcons defeated the Yellowjackets 3-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST UW-SUPERIOR
- The Falcons scored right away in the first period on a power play opportunity. Erica Schramel scored on a pass from Bella Wagner to give the Falcons a 1-0.
- Callie Hoff scored the Falcons second goal, which was another power play opportunity that came in the second period. Assisting her on the goal was Hailey Herdine.
- Nineteen seconds later Alyson Niebur extended the Falcons lead to 3-0. She was assisted on the play of Madi Nolan.
- The Falcons had 39 shots on goal. Falcon defense only allowed the Yellowjackets to 24.
- Sami Miller collected 24 saves in goal.
LOOKING AHEAD
The Falcons improve to 18-4-1 on the season with the win. They have a week off before they take on top ranked UW-Eau Claire on February 21. Puck drop is 7 pm in Eau Claire.
