STEVENS POINT, Wisconsin – The UW-River Falls women's volleyball fell in three sets to UW-Stevens Point Wednesday evening in a WIAC road matchup. The Pointers who are 11-2 on the season are receiving votes in the AVCA Coaches poll.
A back and forth first set had the Falcons within set point, but a pair of attacks went in favor of the Pointers to give them the extra point set win 27-25.
Set two had a similar occurrence, with the Falcons battling it out with the Pointers point for point. The Falcons hung with the Pointers to the final but came up short 21-25.
After two close sets, the Falcons were unable to capitalize in the third falling to the Pointers 11-25.
Sami Hilley led the offense with eight kills and
Sarah Langlois and
Kameri Meredith each had seven.
Haley Cuba collected 30 assists and
Brooke Voigt had 21 digs.
