RIVER FALLS, Wis. – The UW-River Falls volleyball team shutout St. Olaf College in their final nonconference game of the 2022 season. The Falcons won the three sets 25-18, 25-20 and 26-24.
The Falcons, now 21-11 overall outhit the Oles .241 to .163. St. Olaf collected more kills in the match than the Falcons but the front row defense of
Sami Hilley and
Kameri Meredith collected seven blocks.
Sami Hilley led the Falcon attack with eleven kills, while
Brenna Olson totaled a team-high 17 digs.
UWRF hit a match high .286 in the third set with 14 kills. This came after the Falcons trailed most of the set. On set point for the Oles,
Sami Hilley tied it up 24-24 on a big kill. She finished out the set for the win with a block and another kill.
The Falcons finish out regular season on Saturday evening with a matchup against UW-Platteville. UWRF will honor their six seniors that night.
