RIVER FALLS, Wis. – UW-River Falls men's and women's cross country head coach
Meaghan Koski announced the 2023 fall schedule, released Monday, May 15.
Koski will be entering her second season at the helm in 2023. The 2022 Falcon men and women earned USTFCCCA All-Academic Team awards with cumulative GPAs of at least 3.0.
"This year's team is going to be special," Koski commented. "We are returning almost every single athlete from last year, and each one has grown tremendously – athletically and personally. Additionally, we have some top recruits joining our team that are going to make an immediate difference on the course and our team culture. They understand the goals we have as a program, and they are motivated, committed, and passionate about finding new limits."
The Falcons are slated to kick off the 2023 schedule on Sept. 1 at Bethel's Twin Cities Twilight before hosting the first of their two home meets on Sept. 8, the WIAC Preview at Prescott High School. UWRF will also compete at the University of Minnesota, UW-Eau Claire, and UW-La Crosse before hosting the 2023 WIAC Championships at the same course in Prescott.
"I could not be more excited to host two different meets this fall, including the WIAC Championships," said Koski. "We have been working hard to set up a brand-new course at Prescott High School that is sure to be a true cross country course, filled with plenty of hills. We'll be able to practice there often so our team will be ready to show up and show out when championship day arrives."
The NCAA North Regional meet is set to take place on Nov. 11 at a location to be determined. All meet start times are to be determined.
