Box Score MADISON, Wis. — The UW-River Falls men's soccer team lost on the road at Edgewood, 8-0, on Saturday, Sept. 14.
The loss dropped UWRF's record in its inaugural season to 1-3, and the loss marked the program's first ever road game.
The Eagles opened the scoring in the third minute, as Miguel Konde Gwo converted a penalty kick. Edgewood added three goals within a six-minute stretch midway through the first half that put the Falcons down 4-0. In the 40th minute, Edgewood added another goal to lead 5-0 at halftime.
In the second half, the Eagles added goals in the 52nd, 68th, and 86th minutes to win the game 8-0.
Ben Harris led the Falcons with three shots on the day.
Up next, UWRF heads to Concordia College on Sept. 18. The match is set to kick off at 1:45 p.m.
