The UW-River Falls men's soccer team continues its homestand to start the 2024 season, hosting the Carleton Knights at Ramer Soccer Stadium at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 11.
Two games into its inaugural season, the UWRF men's soccer program has accumulated a 1-1 record. The Falcons defeated Crown College 3-1 at home in its first ever game, before falling 3-0 at home against the top-ranked team in the nation St. Olaf.
The Knights come to town after going 15-3-2 overall last season, ending their efforts in the second round of the NCAA Division III Championships. So far this season, Carleton has accumulated a 2-0-2 record through non conference play.

FALCON NOTES
- The Falcons enter the game with a 1-1 record, after a loss to No. 1 St. Olaf, 3-0, in UWRF's most recent outing. Freshman goalkeeper Alvaro Boned played the second half and recorded five saves while keeping the Oles off the board for the final 45 minutes.
- In the Falcons' first game against Crown College, Landon Christiansen led the way with three goals. Christiansen fired away seven shots and six shots on goal during the victory.
- Head Coach Evan Sassano leads the Falcons as the program's first ever head coach. Sassano comes to UW-River Falls after three seasons as the lead assistant coach at St. Thomas University.
