RIVER FALLS, Wis. — The UW-River Falls men's soccer team (3-4-2 overall, 0-0 WIAC) kicks off conference competition this Saturday, October 4, hosting the UW-Platteville Pioneers (5-2-2 overall, 0-0 WIAC) at Ramer Soccer Stadium, at 3 p.m. The Falcons will follow up with a non-conference home matchup against Gustavus Adolphus (7-3-0 overall, 2-2 MIAC) on Tuesday, October 7, at 6 p.m.

FALCON NOTES
- UWRF enters the weekend at 3-4-2 after a 1-3 loss against Hamline on Sept. 30 and a 2-2 draw at Luther on Sept. 26, where the Falcons rallied from a halftime deficit. Against Luther, Sorel Richardson revived the Falcon offense with two penalty kick goals in the final six minutes against Luther to equalize the score.
- The Falcons have scored 16 goals through nine games (1.78 per game) while allowing 18 (2.00 per game). They average 13.9 shots per game with a .456 shot-on-goal percentage.
- Leading the offense is junior Sorel Richardson with five goals on 27 shots. Josh Villanueva adds three goals, while Mauricio Cuevas and Oscar Moline each have two goals. Noah Meschke leads the team with three assists, with Villanueva and Mateo Gonzalez each adding two.
- In goal, Josh Bates has started all nine games, posting a 2.04 goals-against average with 30 saves and a .625 save percentage.
