RIVER FALLS, Wis. — The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) today announced its 2025 Division III Indoor Track & Field All-America recognitions.

UW-River Falls sophomore Jacob Balcome and junior Annika Gunderson both made the list, with Balcome earning First-Team All-America honors and Gunderson earning Second-Team All-America.

At the 2025 Indoor Track & Field Championships, Balcome earned the gold medal and national championship in the men's heptathlon, scoring 5,304 points. The mark is a new program record, besting the previous high point set by Balcome earlier in the season. This year alone, Balcome set two event program records and climbed into the program top-10 lists in five different events.

Gunderson, the school's record holder in pole vault, qualified for her third consecutive NCAA Indoor Championships. The junior placed 13th overall in the women's pole vault at the championships, clearing 3.77 meters (12-4.5). Gunderson wrapped up her indoor season with a qualification to the national championships, as well as a gold medal at the WIAC Championships.

Both athletes also earned All-Region recognition by the USTFCCCA, which is awarded to the top five athletes in each event per region.
