COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. — The UW-River Falls track & field program competed at the 2025 CSB/SJU Optimistic Meet in Collegeville, Minnesota on Friday, March 28.
The Falcons tallied nine top-three finishes and five new top-10 program marks in the UWRF record book.
Field Results
- Annika Gunderson won the women's pole vault, leaping 3.81 meters (12-06). Abigail Biggs (3.57m/11-08.5) placed second and Kalli Jo Klocke (3.42m/11-02.5) placed third. In the men's pole vault, Cole Darling and Joel Alexander tied for third with a clearance of 4.14 meters (13-07).
- Charles Baker threw 44.47 meters (145-10) in the discus to place fifth. The mark ranks sixth all-time at UWRF. On the women's side, Georgia Mundt (40.02m/131-03) placed third and Madison Leifer (39.38m/129-02) placed fifth.
- Baker also moved up the UWRF record book in the hammer throw, placing sixth with a mark of 45.44 meters (149-01). The throw ranks ninth all-time at UWRF.
- Lauryn Schutz placed fourth in the women's hammer throw with a throw of 43.16 meters (141-07). The throw ranks ninth all-time at UWRF. Alexis Koch also placed seventh in the event at 40.45 meters (132-08).
- Joel Alexander took home a second-place finish in the men's triple jump, leaping 13.36 meters (43-10).
Track Results
- In the men's 100 meters, Trever Jensen placed first overall with a time of 10.91. The mark is a new career best, and ranks tied-for-fifth all-time at UWRF. He also set a new personal best in the 200 meters, placing second with a time of 22.32, a new UWRF No. 8 mark.
Up next, the Falcons will compete at the Platteville Invitational in Platteville, Wisconsin on April 11 and the Saint Mary Invitational in Winona, Minnesota on April 12.
