LEXINGTON, Ky. – The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced its 2025 Team Academic Awards, sponsored by INTENT, featuring UW-River Falls, having maintained a year-long grade-point average of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale (or 4.1 on a 5.0 scale), to earn the award for classroom excellence during the recently completed academic year.

In addition to earning the AVCA Team Academic Award, UWRF earned the additional Honor Roll distinction for a second consecutive year with a 3.67 team GPA. The Honor Roll represents the top 20 percent of team GPA's in Division III.

This year's honor marks the sixth season in a row in which the Falcons have garnered the AVCA Team Academic Award, and the eighth time in the last nine seasons.

The Falcons are set to open the 2025 season in St. Paul, Minn., Aug. 29-30, competing at the University of Northwestern Invite.
