RIVER FALLS, Wis. – The UW-River Falls women's tennis team opened its 2025 fall campaign with a 6-1 win over Ripon College on Saturday afternoon at Ramer Tennis Courts.
The Falcons swept doubles play to take a 1-0 lead, and then won five of six singles matches for the five-point margin of victory. Ripon earned its sole team point with a win at No. 4 singles. It marked the second consecutive in which UWRF earned a season and home opening win, following last season's sweep over Bethany Lutheran College on Aug. 31, 2024.
UWRF returns to action on Monday, Sept. 1, traveling to the campus of Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa, facing Wartburg and Luther College.
