RIVER FALLS, Wis. – The UW-River Falls men's soccer team fought back late in the second half to secure a 2-2 draw against St. Scholastica on Thursday, Sept 11, at Ramer Soccer Stadium. Goals from Oscar Moline and Mauricio Cuevas bookended the scoring for the Falcons, who overcame a late deficit to extend their unbeaten streak to four games.

UWRF struck early, taking a 1-0 lead in the fourth minute when Noah Meschke set up Oscar Moline for his second goal of the season. The Falcons controlled much of the first half, generating nine shots with five on target, but St. Scholastica equalized in the 32nd minute on a goal by Gabriel Marchesoni. Despite UWRF's five corner kicks in the opening 45 minutes the teams went into halftime tied at 1-1.

The Saints took the lead in the 78th minute when Tim Bader scored, putting St. Scholastica ahead 2-1. The Falcons responded in the 85th minute with Carter Eklund assisting Mauricio Cuevas for his second of the season to level the score at 2-2. UWRF continued to press, generating six corner kicks in the second half, but couldn't find a winner in the closing moments.

The Falcon defense, led by goalkeeper Josh Bates, made five saves to hold off St. Scholastica's 11 shots, seven of which were on goal. UWRF finished with 14 shots, nine on target.
