EAU CLAIRE, Wis. — The UW-River Falls men's and women's track and field teams competed Saturday at the second annual UWEC/UWRF Dual & Alumni Meet, hosted in Eau Claire, Wis. The meet featured strong showings across both squads, highlighted by personal records, event victories, and multiple performances that etched athletes into the Falcon record book.
Men's Highlights
The Falcon men were led by standout distance performances, beginning withÂ
Jack Richter, who delivered a personal-best effort in the 3,000 meters (8:49.45). Richter's time now ranks 10th all-time in UW-River Falls history, marking a significant milestone early in the indoor season.
In the mile,Â
Alex Pazdernik captured the event title with a personal-record time of 4:28.21, showcasing a strong finishing kick to secure the win for the Falcons.
Across the field events,
Jacob Balcome took home first place in the long jump (6.69m) while
Caleb Nyamari brought home another first place finish for the Falcons in the triple jump (12.39m).
Bryant Molamphy captured second place in the pole vault (4.48m) and
Yaih Marial took second place in the high jump (1.95m).
Women's Highlights
The Falcon women turned in several notable performances, led byÂ
Ali Clifford, who had a big day in the throwing events. Clifford moved to second all-time in UW-River Falls history in the weight throw (16.60m) and followed it up with a victory in the shot put, posting a personal-best mark of 12.37 meters.Â
Annika Gunderson claimed the pole vault title with a winning height of 3.62 meters while
Lauryn Schutz took second in the weight throw (17.07m).
Jacee Frank took home the triple jump event with a jump of 10.23m whileÂ
Elena Fuglestad recorded a major personal record in the high jump, clearing 1.48 meters.
On the track,Â
Adison Wilde earned the win in the mile, crossing the line in 5:17.56 and finished second in the 3,000m (11:29.76).Â
