MADISON, Wis. — The Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) released its Kwik Trip Athletes of the Week for the week of Oct. 19-25, with
Blessing Adebisi representing UW-River Falls as the Volleyball Offensive Athlete of the Week.
Adebisi, a senior middle blocker from White Bear Lake, Minn., receives her second WIAC weekly honor this season, and UWRF's third as a team, following her first earlier this month, and
Audrey Petersen last week.
The Falcons went 3-0 last week, with Adebisi leading the team with 40 kills while posting a .421 hitting percentage across 10 sets. She averaged 4.0 kills per set and added 16 total blocks as UW-River Falls swept UW-La Crosse and Benedictine University (Ill.) before earning a four-set road win at Edgewood College (Wis.). Adebisi reached double figures in kills in all three matches, including 15 kills on .481 hitting against UW-La Crosse, 11 kills on .500 hitting versus Benedictine, and 14 kills on .323 hitting at Edgewood.
UWRF (17-6, 2-3 WIAC) returns to action tomorrow night at UW-Stout Polytechnic.
