RIVER FALLS, Wis. – The UW-River Falls men's and women's track and field teams turned in a strong day of performances at home during the UWRF Winter Classic this Saturday inside Knowles Field House. The women's track and field captured the Winter Classic team title with 175 points, while the men's squad followed with a strong runner-up finish, totaling 153.5 points Saturday afternoon.

MEN'S RESULTS
The Falcon men were led by a standout day across the distance and field events, highlighted by a pair of historic performances in the 3,000 meters.
Jack Richter placed second overall in the men's 3k with a time of 8:45.15, while
Wyatt Johnson followed closely behind in third at 8:50.31. Both marks now rank among the top-10 performances in UW-River Falls program history.
In the field events,
Bryant Molamphy cleared 4.60 meters to win the pole vault event outright. His vault marked a personal record and moved him into the program's top-10 all time. Molamphy was joined on the podium by teammates
Cole Darling and
Jacob Balcome, who tied for third at 4.45 meters.
Jacob Balcome continued his strong all-around meet with a first-place finish in the long jump, posting a winning mark of 6.49 meters.
In the throwing events,
Charles Baker recorded a personal best of 16.44 meters in the weight throw, placing third overall. The mark represents a new top-10 performance in program history. Baker also added a top-five finish in the shot put with a throw of 13.89 meters.
The Falcons added another event victory in the high jump, as
Yaih Marial cleared 2.04 meters to take first place.
WOMEN'S RESULTS
Lauryn Schutz continued her dominant season in the weight throw, winning the event with a mark of 17.97 meters. The throw extended her own school record and marked one of the top performances in the region this season.
Ali Clifford backed up Schutz with a second-place finish at 17.21 meters.
Clifford also captured first place in the shot put, posting a personal-record throw of 12.78 meters. The mark now ranks among the top-10 performances in UW-River Falls history.
Georgia Mundt and
Madison Schaper added third and fourth place finishes to round out a strong showing in the event.
In the women's mile,
Adison Wilde delivered one of the top performances of the meet, finishing second overall with a time of 5:12.79. Her time now stands as a top-10 mark in program history.
The Falcons found success in the field events, led by
Annika Gunderson, who won the pole vault with a clearance of 3.75 meters.
Abigail Biggs followed Gunderson in second place with a vault of 3.20 meters.
Ava Bringgold added a second-place finish in the high jump, clearing 1.50 meters, while
Elena Fuglestad earned a third-place finish in the long jump at 5.06 meters.
On the track,
Brianna Strehlau turned in a strong afternoon with a second-place finish in the 60-meter hurdles finals (9.51) and a runner-up finish in the 200 meters at 27.27 seconds. Fuglestad followed closely behind in the 200 meters, placing third (27.35)
