Jacob Balcome – Men's Track & Field (Jr., Alexandria, Minn.)
At the WIAC Indoor Championships in Platteville, Wis., (Feb. 27-28), Balcome brought home the men's heptathlon title, the second of his career. He totaled a personal record 5,361 points to secure 10 team points for the Falcons - a Williams Fieldhouse facility record while improving upon his UWRF program record. Balcome powered his way to event victories in the 60-meter hurdles (8.40), pole vault (4.45m), and 1,000-meter run (2:45.11), sealing the title with a dominant all-around performance.
Megan Goodreau – Women's Hockey (Sr., Lino Lakes, Minn.)
Goodreau led the Falcons to the WIAC Championship with a semifinal sweep over UW-Superior (Feb. 27-28), totaling seven points with five goals and two assists through two games over the weekend. During the wins, she surpassed 200 points in her career and broke the UWRF women's hockey single-season points and goal scoring records. She became just the third player in NCAA Division III women's hockey history to reach the 200-point milestone, joining Laura Hurd (Elmira) and Elizabeth Gibson (Plattsburgh State).
