LEXINGTON, Ky. – The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced its 2026 Team Academic Award recipients on Thursday, recognizing UW-River Falls after the Falcons maintained a year-long grade-point average of at least 3.3 on a 4.0 scale during the 2025-26 academic year. 

UW-River Falls was one of 1,432 collegiate and high school volleyball programs honored nationwide for its commitment to academic excellence. 

The AVCA Team Academic Award recognizes volleyball programs that achieve a minimum cumulative team GPA of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale (or 4.1 on a 5.0 scale) throughout the academic year. 

The Falcons open the 2026 season Sept. 4-5 at the Puget Sound West Coast Classic in Tacoma, Wash.
